You are currently browsing the category archive for the 'Wordpress' category.

I have found my drafts:  Go to Manage and look above the list for a tab.  It is quite neat once you have found the list.

Zemanta is also up and working again.  Once Zemanta is up, you need to scroll down quite far to find the publish button.

Another trick to note about “new” WordPress is that the Edit button above the post and around the publish button, don’t refer to the post. They refer to the permalink/url and the data of publication.  So don’t press them unless you are tying to change your permalink or delay your publication.

If you are interests are edgy or long-tail, Zemanta is a good idea.  It doesn’t pick up everything but it can pick up obscure references that you will never find with google.  It allows you to check an article without “navigating away” from the page.  It allows you to patch in the header of another article at the bottom of your post with a single click.  It also offers a range of pictures.  I’ll add a link to them to illustrate.

WordPress suprised us yesterday (me?) with a new interface.  As I was blogging fast moving events, I was not a happy bunny at all.

I got a message from support asking for me to elaborate that posts are disappearing.  Well it is has happened again.

I drafted a post.  Carefully pressed saved.  There is no save and edit button any more.  Went out of the draft to pick up a link.  And I am back.

Where is the post?  It used to come up as a draft when you pressed write.  It is not under manage.  What have they done with it?

It tells me a draft was saved at 9:24 - could that be it 9:24 GMT?  And if so where?

Ah there is a little tiny view drafts but if I press that I will be navigating away from here and I will lose this post.  And if  I save this, where will it go.

So let’s publish this.

I see tags are working today.  What will we call this?  WordPress, furstration
